Hanoi City Tour Full Day
Tour Itinerary:
8:00 – 8:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel by our friendly guide to begin your Hanoi city exploration.
8:45 AM: Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, built in the 6th century, located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake.
9:30 AM: Explore the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh (closed on Mondays & Fridays). Walk around the garden to visit his stilt house, where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969, and the unique One Pillar Pagoda, dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy.
Note:
- Dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered) when visiting religious sites.
- The Mausoleum is closed for maintenance from June 15 to August 15, but visitors can still explore the surrounding area.
11:15 AM: Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the culture of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. (On Mondays, we visit the Women’s Museum instead.)
12:45 PM: Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch featuring 8 traditional dishes.
2:00 – 2:15 PM: Discover the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, established in the 11th century.
3:15 PM: Visit Hoa Lo Prison Museum (also known as the "Hanoi Hilton"), once used by the French for political prisoners and later by North Vietnam for U.S. POWs during the Vietnam War.
4:15 – 4:30 PM: End of the tour, return to your hotel.
